‘Standing
Firm for our values’
Stand Firm with a man who shares
our values
A message from Vice President
Dan Quayle
Values matter most. Reversing the
decline in our culture and restoring core values like courage,
faith, life, responsibility and integrity is our greatest challenge
and our only real hope for ensuring a bright future for our
children. I seek the presidency to lead a restoration of our common
values, and as president, I will provide clear, decisive leadership
that will help renew our culture, strengthen our families, and
reclaim America's credibility around the globe.
First, I will defend the values
that made America great;
Second, I will liberate families
from a federal tax and regulatory burden that too often forces both
parents out of the home and into the workplace; and,
Third, I will restore respect for
American leadership abroad and ensure we are prepared to confront
the challenges facing the world's only superpower.
Stand Firm with a Leader
Fighting for the values that
matter most
Dan Quayle stands firm for the
values that make America great -- faith in God, love of family, and
the defense of freedom. Mr. Quayle's election to the vice presidency
of the United States in 1988 continued a remarkable record of
achievement that began in 1976 with his election to the U.S. House
of Representatives. In 1980, Congressman Quayle was elected to the
U.S. Senate. He was re-elected in 1986.
As a member of Congress, he
introduced both the repeal of the marriage penalty and a flat tax
proposal, and he successfully fought for enactment of his landmark
Job Training Partnership Act and to preserve the Patriot
anti-missile defense system. As Vice President, Dan Quayle oversaw
the effort to drastically reduce the regulatory burden on small
businesses and farmers.
After leaving office, Dan Quayle
authored two best selling books, and served as a distinguished
visiting professor of international studies at Thunderbird, the
American Graduate School of International Management. For over
twenty years, Dan and Marilyn Quayle have campaigned for hundreds of
conservative candidates around the country.
Dan and Marilyn Quayle have three
grown children: Tucker, Benjamin, and Corinne.
Dan Quayle is fighting for:
America's Families.
For decades, big government
attempted and failed to provide solutions to social problems. The
solution is to strengthen the American family, not the government.
Dan Quayle is fighting to protect the values and institutions that
create stable, productive families and communities.
Tax Relief for Every American.
America suffers from the greatest
tax burden since World War II. Dan Quayle is fighting to lower every
American's taxes by 30 percent and to eliminate the marriage penalty
and death taxes.
America's Interests.
Dan Quayle is fighting to ensure
that America's armed forces are used only when America's vital
national security interests are at stake. He believes our principal
foreign policy challenges are to confront the growing assertiveness
of China and the spread of weapons of mass destruction and ballistic
missile capability to rogue states.
Excellence in Education.
Washington does not know what's
best for children. Parents do. Dan Quayle is fighting to shift
authority and resources from Washington back to parents and local
school districts, while fighting for teacher accountability and
parental choice in education.
The Sanctity of Life.
Dan Quayle is fighting the "culture
of death" that embraces abortion and euthanasia. As president, Dan
Quayle will fight to immediately ban partial birth abortions. He
will promote adoption, faith-based pregnancy centers, and other
alternatives for mothers and families.
A Stronger Military.
In less than a decade, our military
has been cut in half and asked to do more with less. Dan Quayle is
fighting to revitalize America's armed forces, build a national
missile defense system, and reassert our nation's sovereignty in
economic and military affairs.
On the Road to Victory
Uniquely Qualified.
Dan Quayle is the only Republican
presidential candidate who has served as a United States
Representative, United States Senator and Vice President of the
United States, gaining unparalleled experience working on foreign
policy and national defense issues. As America's 44th Vice
President, he participated in winning the cold war and in critical
decisions concerning the Gulf War, the attempted coup against
President Aquino of the Philippines, and the defeat of Panamanian
dictator Manuel Noriega.
A Conservative You Can Count On.
Dan Quayle is a conservative of
conviction, not convenience. He has never backed down, will never
give up, will never give in.
