Elizabeth Dole
for President 2000 Campaign Brochure
‘National
Leadership World Respect.’
Securing the
future and opportunities for children is and will be my top priority
as President of the United States. These times demand a President
who is both a skilled chief executive and a confident moral leader
-- a head of state who respects America's people, one who can stand
up and say what is right and what is wrong, one who can restore
America's belief in the power of the individual to make a
difference.
I have spent a
lifetime as a servant of the public -- to you and your neighbors. If
there is an overriding theme to my service, it lies in placing
service over politics, consensus over confrontation, courage over
political correctness. I believe in America and I believe in
Americans. You deserve a president who will stand strong for you,
your children, and the future.
With your help
today, I can be that president.
To me, restoring
a national belief in the power of the individual and the need for
acceptance of personal responsibility is our main challenge today as
a nation. It forms the core of my drive to make our public schools
the best in the world, reduce the tax burden on working families,
renew our national security, and win a decisive, victory over the,
illegal drugs, crime and violence in our society.
I have served in
five White House administrations. I know how government works and
what it takes to get things done in Washington.
But I also know
executive leadership outside of government, how to respond when a
national crisis hits, and how to deal with America's friends, allies
and adversaries abroad.
I'm running for
President to put my education, my experience and my commitment to
excellence to work for America in the White House.
Join me in this
campaign for a better America.
Let's make
history!
